ABSTRACT: The role of vocational education in promoting green building practices is essential for advancing sustainable development within the construction industry. This study aimed to evaluate how vocational education programs integrate green building principles, assess the impact on students' knowledge and skills, and gauge the satisfaction of students with these programs. A survey design was implemented to collect comprehensive data from participants. The sample size comprised 180 students enrolled in construction-related vocational programs. Purposive sampling was used to select individuals with experience in green building education. The case study was conducted at the Federal Polytechnic, Bida, in Niger State, Nigeria. The findings showed that vocational education significantly improved students' understanding of green building practices, enhanced their ability to implement sustainable construction techniques, and fostered a commitment to environmental stewardship. Students expressed high satisfaction with the green building components of their education, highlighting the practical applications and industry relevance. It was recommended that vocational training programs continue to expand their green building curricula and provide ongoing professional development for instructors to stay abreast of new technologies and practices.
